This class was my first class having a very young person making an authentic Thai dish. We were making egg custard sauce Thai style. You may be more familiar with pandan, a green, egg custard sauce version. This time, my niece she said she would like it without colour. So that was the reason it isn't green.
She is just a normal kid, often bubbly as can be. However, the class went very well. I have never seen her pay this full attention before. At every cooking stage she was very careful and confident. I could see happiness in her through her eyes when she got to do things by herself and the cooking process was so real. The food turned out to be the joy of the day for everyone where we all spent quality time making food together.
