The first month of "Keep Thai Food Alive," my cooking school campaign, was in the beginning of the month and a new beginning in life for me. (for more information of the campaign click here) This lovely couple came to me and asked me to teach them how to make Sai Ua (northern Thai sausage) to sell in the market to make a living. It was my honour not only to keep Thai food alive, but also help one lovely family be able to carry on their lives because of the food I taught them.
Kwan and S were willing to learn. Kwan took notes down to every detail. And S did every cooking process by himself. I'm sure when you put these two together you will get the best version of Sai Ua. They are now selling Sai Ua and a couple of other things at the Ploen Rudee Night Market near Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. And they fusioned Sai Ua to match westerners' taste better. You should definitely give them a try if you are in the area.
